Internship day 7 ended with 80% of re-design. Day 8 was planned with the motive of completing the entire website along with testing so that next day we can deploy it on the actual server. Entire was dedicated to place the content and images on the right place and also been approved by supervisor.
As website possess 30 odd pages which means lot of content and images has to placed. Thus maximum amount of time which is approximately 4.5 hrs were dedicated to this. At the end of 4.5 hrs entire re-designed website was complete and only left with testing for any bugs or mistakes in it. Since my previous experience was as a tester this task was bit easy to me as well as exiting since this testing would also possess security testing as well which wasn’t there in my previous work experience.
As testing begin there were some minor and few major bugs which is normal in any case but there were no critical bugs. These bugs were fixed as entire testing procedure was completed. All the testing procedure was been followed as per leaned in the unit SIT 782 (Practical Project) as well previous experience. Which lead to gain some practical experience of the knowledge that was gained while studying unit. Only task remaining in the completing first part of internship was to remove the existing website and replace with new one which would completed in no time on Day 9.
Though Day 8 completed but there are some documents that needs to be submitted to unit chair which is Reflective Essay. This document would portray your experience during the course of Internship. In order to complete this document there tons of resources provided by unit chair on Deakin Student portal (Cloud Deakin). The following are the resources on Cloud Deakin:-
