4. Check extended features.
Here is how to do it, don’t copy the question marks in (“”) when pasting in terminal

I want to put parrot os on a bridged network but when i select that and boot the OS i get ipv6 address how can i connect it using a IPV4 address so that host and vm are in the same network.
Hi Thomas,
If you want to communicate with other machines on virtual box then make use of vb box instead.. Much preferable and easy to use.
Hi? is there a wi-fi driver for Parrot OS installed on Virtualbox…?
Hi There,
If there you hosting your virtual machine over a laptop then it would automatically detects laptops network adapter and can access internet. If you want a private network within your virtual environment then you can add vbox (create a virtual network).
let me know if you need more information on this.
Cheers,
Sanket R Jain
As you told that by installing parrot on your laptop with inbuilt wifi card it will automatically detect network interface..but in my case i have a network interface already installed on my windows laptop but when i open parrot OS through oracle VB…and i type ifconfig in terminal i see no wireless interfaces..only en0 is shown…can u suggest me any measures??…coz i want to test my router security..
Hi Ashking,
You will able to surf the Internet on your virtual machine once you follow the mentioned steps. Your virtual machine would not show wireless adapter instead it would show as normal en0 adapter. In a nutshell, your VB would have en0 (through which you can access the Internet) but would be making use of the wireless adapter that is present on your laptop.

Hey please help me I try to boot live to parrot 2.0.5 and it stucks on ” Loading, please wait “
Hi,
Can you elaborate the problem.
Regards,

You need to wait for that, it would take long. It depends on your computer
Parrot does not start in virtualbox, here is the message:The virtual machine ‘Parrot’ has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in ‘C:\Users\Abdelkader\VirtualBox VMs\Parrot\Logs\VBoxHardening.log’.

Hi Albert,
As per the information provided.. I can suggest some ways that you can try:-
1) Installed the latest update from Microsoft.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3024777
2) Did System Reboot.
3) Uninstalled the Oracle VM VirtualBox.
4) Installed it again after a second Reboot.
Or I would suggest you provide steps that lead to this error (Like was there a windows update before this error or anything else)
Cheers,
Sanky

Can anyone help. I keep getting error message when I try to launch in virtual box that reads ” amd-v OS disabled in the BIOS”
Hi There,
Since Virtualization is disabled on the system. Use the following the steps to enable:-
1. Reboot the computer and open the system’s BIOS menu. This can usually be done by pressing the delete key, the F1 key or Alt and F4 keys depending on the system.
2. Select Restore Defaults or Restore Optimized Defaults, and then select Save & Exit.
3. Power off the machine and disconnect the power supply.
4. Enabling the virtualization extensions in BIOS

hi sir Sanket
i already install parrot os in virtual box
when i command airmon-ng theres no wireless driver how you can fix this
please help me!
Thank you
Hi Joshua, –details and post here. Replace with the actual name of the VM. Use ” ” if the name has a space in it.
You need to install USB wifi adapter. In addition, you must have the Extension Pack installed. Then you must make sure that the device is picked up by the guest. Using the USB device you will not be using the VirtualBox network adapter at all so disable it in the guest settings.
As well as from the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo
Regards,
Sanky
Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.
when I install parrot on virtualbox it gives me error at coping files it says the failing step is install the system
Hi Omar,
There are two possibilities for this error. Either image downloaded was corrupt or installtion process has some issues.
Try installing it once again.
Cheers,
Sanky
Hi Sanket,
From the screenshot on the top. I was wondering I had the same theme before I dist-upgraded. Can you please let me know if I can back that theme ?
Hi Rahul,
It is difficut to rollback from dist-upgraded as it updates your kernel. You can check out updates log through termianl (# grep -A 2 ‘Start-Date: 2016-01-17 07:56:42’ /var/log/apt/history.log) and then remove all the updates that were installed.

Sanky
